Meet Our Staff

Pastor Larry came to Cross Pointe Pointe in June of 2020. He has been a pastor for 27 years, and has been preaching for over 31 years. He was called to preach on January 9, 1989 at the age 19, at Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene (what was then Salisbury First Church of the Nazarene). He married the most beautiful girl in the world, Lori, on January 9, 1993. Pastor Larry and Lori have 4 grown children, Allen, Aubrey, Benjamin, and their daughter-in-law Macy. Pastor Larry enjoys the outdoors, and has climbed to the top of many of Colorado’s 14,000 foot peaks. 

 

His ministry passions are pastoral care and preaching. When asked about these two passions, pastor Larry said, “Pastoral care is primarily listening to people’s stories, and helping them find the sacred thread of God’s redemptive grace within that story. Preaching is primarily about listening to The Story (The Gospel), so you can tell The Story in a way that intersects with people’s stories.”

 

Pastor Larry has his Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Biblical languages, his Master of Divinity with a specialization in historical theology, and his Doctor of Ministry in homiletics and Christian communication.
