Pastor Jared & Family Farewell

Saying goodbye is never easy, but saying farewell to Pastor Jared and his family during these days of restrictions makes it even more difficult. May 17th is their last Sunday with us, and we would still like to honor them!

Pastor Jared will be preaching in the morning service (with a little bit of FX mixed in) and Denise will be singing with the worship team that day. While we will publicly express our thanks for their years of ministry at Cross Pointe during that service, We know you want to express your own appreciation.

There are two ways you can do that:
  • Mail a card to the Willemins anytime between now and the 17th. Their address is 27751 Nanticoke Road, Salisbury MD 21801
  • Join a “drive-by” farewell at 4:30 p.m. on the 17th. In order to begin the procession at 4:30, plan to arrive no later than 4:15. We will drive by, wave, honk, and express our love and thanks from a safe distance (staying in our cars). Enter the property and the parking lot on the east side (office side). We ask that you follow those directing traffic as we line up to begin the drive-by. The Willemins will be under the canopy on the west side to greet you. A table will be provided for you to leave cards and/or gifts for them.

We are excited to welcome Pastor Larry A Dunlap, Jr. as our next senior pastor. Pastor Dunlap will begin his ministry at Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene in early June, 2020.

On Sunday, March 15, 2020 Cross Pointe confirmed the call of our new Senior Pastor. With praise for such a good vote, he has accepted the call to “join his family with the Cross Pointe family.”

He will be announcing his resignation to his church on March 29. We continue to ask no contact with him via social media until after that date.

We praise God for your faithfulness to vote on a “non-church” Sunday.
It was such a blessing and encouragement to all.

Interim Pastor

Dr. G. A. Hankins will be serving as our interim pastor starting September 8th.  He is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University with both a B.A.and M.A. in Theology and Lancaster Theological Seminary with a D.Min.  Ordained on the Pittsburgh District, he first served as an evangelist before pastoring churches on that district.   Since retiring in 2015, he has continued to serve where needed. In addition to his pastoral duties, he also served on many boards/committees on the district as well as serving as an evangelist at revivals and camps and as a retreat speaker for pastors and for singles retreats.  Another highlight of his ministry was serving as an Adjunct Professor at the Nazarene Bible College. We’re excited to welcome him and his wife Carla as they join the Cross Pointe family during these days of transition!
