Rev. Jared Willemin, Pastor to Children & Families
Pastor Jared and his wife, Denise, moved to Salisbury in 2010. He came on staff at the church in 2012.  They are now a family of 4 with Bryson and Hadley. Jared first felt a call to ministry when he was in junior high. He attended Eastern Nazarene College and Nazarene Theological Seminary in preparation for ministry.  Jared served as the youth pastor at the Kansas City Urban Youth Center before moving to Salisbury.  During his time at Cross Pointe he has completed a Doctor of Ministry at Northern Seminary, focusing on New Testament context.
He loves sports and kids so starting the Upward Sports and Mega Sports Camp programs at Cross Pointe were a perfect fit for him.
He is passionate about the Church connecting with the community in local schools and neighborhoods.
His other priorities for ministry are connecting kids with small group leaders who know and love Jesus and helping parents intentionally raise their children to be life-long disciples of Jesus.

Melanie, her husband Brian, and their 4 children have been a part of Cross Pointe since 2009.  Prior to moving to Maryland Melanie was an elementary school teacher and then the Daycare Director for 6 years at the church where her family attended.  Since coming to Cross Pointe she has been actively involved in Children’s Ministries as a lay leader.

In 2017 she began to lead the Preschool and Kindergarten Ministries and found her passion!  She joined the staff in 2019 as the Director of Early Childhood Ministries.  She is currently working towards ordination.

Melanie is passionate about children learning to love God at a young age and supporting parents through the different phases of parenting.  She also loves to help people to develop the skills God has given them so that they can also lead others.

In her free time she loves watching football, especially the Steelers, crocheting, trying new recipes and learning about people & history.
