Rev. Dr. Larry Dunlap JR
Pastor Larry came to Cross Pointe Pointe in June of 2020. He has been a pastor for 27 years, and has been preaching for over 31 years. He was called to preach on January 9, 1989 at the age 19, at Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene (what was then Salisbury First Church of the Nazarene). He married the most beautiful girl in the world, Lori, on January 9, 1993. Pastor Larry and Lori have 4 grown children, Allen, Aubrey, Benjamin, and their daughter-in-law Macy. Pastor Larry enjoys the outdoors, and has climbed to the top of many of Colorado’s 14,000 foot peaks.
His ministry passions are pastoral care and preaching. When asked about these two passions, pastor Larry said, “Pastoral care is primarily listening to people’s stories, and helping them find the sacred thread of God’s redemptive grace within that story. Preaching is primarily about listening to The Story (The Gospel), so you can tell The Story in a way that intersects with people’s stories.”
Pastor Larry has his Bachelor of Arts in Theology and Biblical languages, his Master of Divinity with a specialization in historical theology, and his Doctor of Ministry in homiletics and Christian communication.

Pastor Melanie Longacre

Bridge Kids Jr. Pastor

Melanie, her husband Brian, and their 4 children have been a part of Cross Pointe since 2009.  Prior to moving to Maryland Melanie was an elementary school teacher and then the Daycare Director for 6 years at the church where her family attended.  Since coming to Cross Pointe she has been actively involved in Children’s Ministries as a lay leader.

In 2017 she began to lead the Preschool and Kindergarten Ministries and found her passion!  She joined the staff in 2019 as the Director of Early Childhood Ministries.  She is currently working towards ordination.

Melanie is passionate about children learning to love God at a young age and supporting parents through the different phases of parenting.  She also loves to help people to develop the skills God has given them so that they can also lead others.

In her free time she loves watching football, especially the Steelers, crocheting, trying new recipes and learning about people & history.

Pastor Allen Dunlap
Youth Pastor
Pastor Allen and his wife Macy moved to Salisbury in the summer of 2020. Previously, they had lived in Oklahoma City where they both graduated from Southern Nazarene University. While they did date during their college days, their friendship actually began back to their days in the youth group in Amarillo, Texas. The two have now been married since December 2018 and have begun to pursue their careers, Allen in pastoral ministry and Macy in elementary education.
After receiving his bachelor degree from SNU, Allen has continued to pursue higher education at Nazarene Theological Seminary, where he is seeking to get his Masters of Divinity. He has continued finding passion for ministering to youth and young adults, longing to see spiritual and relational growth among them. Ultimately, Allen desires to fit into whatever roles are needed in order for the church to reflect Christ well, which also includes directing the Upwards sports program at Cross Pointe.
