Our Staff

Rev. Michael Downs, Lead Pastor

Pastor Michael and his wonderful wife, Jenn and their three children moved here early in the summer of 2015. He was formally installed on July 12, 2015 as our Senior Pastor. We are very blessed to have found the Pastor that God has called here to Cross Pointe Church of the Nazarene. We are looking forward to the vision and direction that God has given Pastor Michael for our church as we move into the future.
Michael loves hiking, canoeing, spending time with family and friends and as well as KU basketball, KC Royals and KC Chiefs.  Yes, he is originally from the MidWest. He is enjoying exploring the Delmarva Peninsula and eating wonderful foods here like Blue Crabs and Smith Island Cake.

Stephen Hause, Pastor of R.E.A.C.H. Ministries

Pastor Stephen was born in a pastor’s home. Seeing the gospel lived out before him everyday caused Stephen to ask more and more questions until at the age of five he accepted Christ into his heart. Stephen felt the call to ministry in middle school, but was not sure where the Lord wanted him to serve. It wasn’t until he fell in love with his high school sweetheart, Debbie, and got married that he was introduced to the Deaf culture. The Deaf culture was a perfect fit for Stephen as he was immediately “at home”. Both Debbie and Stephen started their life in ministry preparation and Stephen has reached a major milestone this past May when he graduated from Nazarene Bible College. Stephen has served in the Deaf community for over a decade and has loved every minute of it! In January 2011, Stephen, Debbie and their sons, Christian and Andrew, moved from Kansas to Salisbury where he is Pastor to the Deaf at Cross Pointe. The Lord is working in wonderful ways and Stephen is seeing miracles daily as he serves a wonderful community in a church that truly has a heart for God’s people.
